Clever title, you got me😂 but honestly yes, what a refreshing platform Substack is. I actually feel like my brain is growing on here whereas it’s slowly dying on other social media apps. Thanks for writing this piece Lea!😄
And don't forget that people restack you sometimes and share your work with a wider audience who'd never know who you are without the kindness and compassion of these fellow writers. BARF-O-RAMA!
I know there’s no room for clickbait on Substack. But this was my way of making a point in a creative way. I just want people to realize how amazing Substack is. Hope you can appreciate it 🙏
Hi Angela, thank you for reading and for your honest feedback! Really appreciate it. I like to dress up my stories. A lot of readers actually like it as well. But I’ll try to minimize it next time and see how that works out. 🙏
Thanks for the kind response - I think I was being a little prickly bcz I just woke up, but you were very gracious. And yeh - I still think it was over the top.
I was scolded on medium when I first started writing there for adding pix - they thought I was trying to lengthen read-times. Like that even occurred tome! LOL
Good, Lea! How dare Substack be like this??? Subtle little place, huh? I love this place, it allows for even us "hobbits" to write. Signed, "not a titan of industry", WEW
Sneaky title but i enjoyed your post Lea. A few people have spoken about Medium and I am wondering if you put the same content on both or simply to stick to one platform?
Thank you so much Colin! 🙏 I’m still experimenting with using both platforms at once. And yes, I also tried to post the same content on both platforms to see how that works out.
Substack is a breath of fresh air for me. I enjoy writing here and building connections with other writers and readers. I started getting serious here over the last month or so and have grown to over 200 subscribers and some have even become paid subscribers just because they want to support what I am doing. The community here is VERY supportive, and helpful, and wants you to succeed. I don't feel like it's a pond of competition but a courtyard to cheer each other on, collaborate, and grow. Love Substack!

Exactly, I feel the same way! And I’m so happy to see you liked it, thank you so much Katie! 🙏

OMG now I’m really turned off!!
Thank you for adding this one Sonny 😂
Yeah, the title got me too. Very good points in the article though. Who would want all those … 🤢 user centric features…🤮.
I know, right!! 😆 Thanks Simon! 🙏
Cool clickbait title. Good job.

I'm curious - why all the images? I almost stopped reading bcz - orange! bright! morning!
And - that said, it's terrible how good SS is, isn't it? They should be fired!

No problem at all Angela! I always like it when I get uplifting feedback. It shows that you care, which is very kind 🙏
I don’t think I’ve ever seen you on Medium, but I’ll make sure to follow you there as well. So nice to meet you Angela.
That's so nice of you - thanks! I'm here: https://medium.com/@lyonlyon
You had me in the first half haha. Great essay! I really like how to design your content. Looking forward to reading more!
Thank you, appreciate you Yashraj! 🙏
This is how you write? Every line is its own paragraph. Are you 7?
Hi Saurabh, hope you’re doing well today?
Yes, your crappy writing couldn't keep me down. But, it made my eyeballs spin in their sockets though.
Hope you’ll feel better soon!
Hope you'll learn to write well!
Thank you so much for your kindness!! 🙏

You’re welcome Shivani, thank you for reading! 🙏
The best title I’ve seen in a long time. We as humans love contrary opinion. When I saw the title I was like who the hell is this?
Thank you so much for your kindness, appreciate it! 🙏
